DEMOS AI LAB Careers

Current Opportunities:

We're a small, high-conviction team working at the intersection of AI, critical infrastructure, and national resilience. We don't hire for roles — we recruit builders who care deeply about what they're working on. If you have a background in machine learning, signal processing, or embedded systems and want your work to matter, we want to hear from you."

Senior AI/ML Engineer — Grid Sentinel

Remote (Global) | Part-Time, Contract, or Full-Time

The Role.

We are looking for a Senior AI/ML Engineer to own the ML engine behind Grid Sentinel — building predictive models that detect and forecast power grid anomalies from real-world sensor data. This is a foundational role with significant technical ownership and direct impact on communities that depend on reliable power.

What You'll Work On

You will develop time-series forecasting and anomaly detection models on grid sensor data, build edge-optimized solutions for low-connectivity environments, and design data pipelines and feature engineering workflows from IoT sensor streams. We engineer signal and sensor models for real-world conditions where signals are noisy, labeled data is scarce, and millisecond inference matters.

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate holds a degree in Physics, Applied Physics, or Electrical Engineering with a signal processing focus, combined with a strong computer science foundation. Experience in TinyML — deploying and optimizing ML models on microcontrollers and edge hardware — is highly valued, as is hands-on work in IoT, embedded systems, sensing, or defense and industrial applications. Proficiency in Python and standard ML frameworks such as scikit-learn, PyTorch, or TensorFlow is required. Allied nation citizenship is required.

Why DEMOS AI Lab

This is a rare opportunity to work directly with founders and a world-class advisory board on a problem that genuinely matters — real infrastructure, real communities, real impact. We will work with the right candidate on engagement structure and offer competitive compensation.

Senior Data Curator — Grid Sentinel

Remote (Global) | Part-Time, Contract, or Full-Time

The Role

We are looking for a Senior Data Curator to own the data foundation that powers Grid Sentinel's predictive models. You will be responsible for sourcing, structuring, and maintaining the high-quality datasets that our ML pipeline depends on — working directly with real-world power grid sensor data where signal quality, labeling accuracy, and dataset integrity are mission-critical.

What You'll Work On

You will source and ingest new datasets from public, government, and proprietary sources, design and enforce labeling and annotation standards for sensor and outage data, and own data cleaning, validation, and quality control workflows. You will work closely with the ML Engineer to ensure training data is well-structured, properly versioned, and continuously improving as Grid Sentinel evolves in the field.

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate holds a degree in Computer Science or Statistics, combined with a strong background in data curation or data engineering for ML systems. Hands-on experience managing time-series, sensor, or IoT datasets is essential. Familiarity with power systems, energy data, or infrastructure data is a strong plus. Experience building and maintaining data pipelines for ML training environments is required, as is proficiency in Python and standard data tooling. Allied nation citizenship is required.
